Earlier in the summer, Style Calling was invited to the Banana Republic offices in downtown Toronto to preview their Fall collection. It was very early in the morning but we were still barely able to contain our excitement. We were greeted with hot coffee and warm pastries and shown into their show room.
The recently released “New Look of Banana Republic” is a reflection of new Creative Director Marissa Webb’s point of view of the brand, and the new look is chic, wearable and authentic. The Fall collection has a lot of beautiful separates that allow you to express yourself, and get the most out of the pieces you buy.
In addition to the regular collection, Banana Republic once again paired with Roland Mouret on a capsule collection for Fall. The pieces were stunning, and focused on creating beautiful silhouettes. Our favourites were Sloan Short-Sleeved Lace Panel Dress in black, and the Sloan One-Shoulder Colourblock dress, which we could see the Style Calling lady pair with the faux leather sleeve jacket in navy during the day, then switching it up with a pair of sky high heels for evening: a perfect transitional piece.
With fall around the corner, now is the time to begin easing back into layered dressing, and the Banana Republic Fall collection is the perfect place to start. For styling ideas, and regular previews of what’s to come, join in the conversation on Banana Republic’s social media channels.
