You can tell a lot about a person by whats on their bookshelf. I always enjoy seeing what my friends have on theirs – a curated collection of beloved books they’ve gathered over the years. Every home needs a book shelf.
Spring is here ! Nothing says Spring like fresh flowers in your home. Here is a little floral inspiration.
Lately, I’ve grown fond of pastel blue nail polish. If you’re going to embrace blue, it might as well be the Chanel’s Coco Blue. Nail polish will be the perfect way to embrace the pastel trend – a little pop of Spring colour.
After seeing many backstage beauty images from this season’s runway show with the models nails painted easter egg blue, the idea of blue nails started to grow on me (see my posting on the OPI version here)
NAIL + FOOD ART (via refinery 29)
There’s something about freshly manicured nails that really makes you feel lady like. I’ve been doing my own nails for years, and have become very well versed on how to get long lasting, perfect polish.
I’m a big fan of the OPI brand. It’s cheap & cheerful (about $8 a bottle) good quality (last about 2-3 days before chipping) and easy to touch up.
I always have a pop of colour on my nails. My colour choice is usually red, coral or a pink. Lately, I’ve been curious to try out a shade of blue. Something I wouldn’t usually gravitate towards, but after the Chanel & Oscar de la Renta runway shows, I’m a warming up to the idea.
Doesn’t OPI always come up with the best names?!
- Red – Red Lights Ahead…Where?
- Hot pink – Kiss Me on My Tulip
- Light shimmer pink – Pedal Faster Suzi
- Shimmer blue – I have a herring problem
I chose the shimmer pink first, which will be perfect for the spring season. It’s all about the pastel shades for the upcoming season. It was a gorgeous day in Vancouver today. A lovely reminder that Spring is on her way !
Today, we Spring forward – we push our clocks forward 1 hour in anticipation of Spring (joy)
In light of the Spring season, I have Spring cleaning (and redecorating) on my mind. I do find Home decor shopping for my apartment a very enjoyable past time. I like reorganizing, reconfiguring furniture & making what’s old new again.
