This year’s highly anticipated Dîner en Blanc was the grandest version of the event to date. Dîner en Blanc promotes friendship, elegance, gallantry and a sense of community. Over 3,200 guests arrived at the secret location – dressed head to toe in white – ready for a fabulous night ahead.
We arrived at our meeting place in Yaletown before making our way to the secret location, revealed to be David Lam Park. This was the perfect location to host the 3,200 diners, boasting spectacular views of False Creek.
French music filled the air as guests found their table places within the grassy area. Diners found their allocated area and began to set up their tables and chairs. White table clothes were laid down and each group adorned their tables with their own personal touch.
This year we attended the event as a group of 6. This made getting ready for this fabulous event so much easier! You are required to bring everything to the event for your dinner, including the tables, chairs, table cloth, cutlery, glassware, and food. We decided to divide and conquer, giving everyone in our group a task to complete. This approach to the event made it so much easier to arrive on location, stress free and ready to celebrate.
The event this year was spectacular. The organizers, The Social Concierge went above and beyond to create an elegant and extravagant event. Designer Wendy Williams Watt’s Big Love Ball were installed throughout the event, creating a playful and fun photo opp for all.
As the night came to a close, the sparklers were lit and the last of the champagne was poured. The crowd danced and celebrated what was truly a magical night. At the end of the evening, diners’ packed up their tables and departed the venue. Leaving the grounds exactly how they were before: with wonderful memories of a spectacular night.
Congratulations to The Social Concierge on yet another fabulous event.
